The Urban Initiative

Collateral for a marketing campaign, ad campaign, and app all centered around the idea of a group community centers based in Chicago's most adverse neighborhoods

See below for full description

The Urban Initiative is a concept that entails a series of community centers that would be placed all around Chicago’s low income, impoverished, and adverse areas. The idea behind this is to give these areas all access to resources such as wifi, art, clothing, sports, food, and safe spaces for youth in these neighborhoods. The goal is to slowly unite Chicago through benefiting these areas while modernizing community centers through the implication of an app linked to the community centers. I wire framed and prototyped an app would be used for things like finding community events, information relevant to the community and neighborhood, learning about the history of the neighborhood, volunteering for events or fundraisers, reservation of rooms or areas in the center for parties or other events, and etc. The implication of the app would allow many people to learn about the Urban Initiative on their own time. Things like a series of branded clothes/winter gear that will be given out to those in need.  I used a series of mockups and advertisements a way to create and conceptualize what the Urban Initiative's branding would be. In theory these advertisements would be placed around Chicago’s lower income areas to encourage those in the area to visit the various locations of The Urban Initiative Community Centers.
